RENFE CERTIFIES ITS CARBON FOOTPRINT USING GREEMKO’S TECHNOLOGY

Renfe has certified its carbon footprint with AENOR using Greemko’s technology, a major step forward for a railway operator whose environmental measurement requires consolidating data from numerous suppliers, different traction systems and a complex logistics infrastructure.

Greemko addresses one of the sector’s main challenges: the dispersion and heterogeneity of the data needed to calculate the carbon footprint. Its platform automates the collection, validation and traceability of this information, eliminating manual processes, errors and the reliance on endless spreadsheets.

The company showcased these capabilities at Rail Live! 2025 (IFEMA Madrid, 26–28 November), where it demonstrated how its solution enables more reliable, efficient and sustainability-aligned environmental measurement for the railway sector.
