YK-ROBOTICS RAISES €1 MILLION TO ADVANCE ROBOT PROGRAMMING THROUGH ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

29 October, 2026

YK-Robotics, a member company of UPTEK, has closed a €1 million seed funding round to support the expansion of its artificial intelligence-based industrial automation technology. The round was co-led by Draper B1 and First Drop, with participation from BStartup (Banco Sabadell), Coben Ventures, Elephant Capital and PnP USA (Plug and Play). The funding will enable the company to accelerate the deployment of its solutions across Spain, expand its partner network and strengthen its team.

The company has developed YK-Platform, a software platform that enables robotic cells to be programmed and managed using natural language, allowing users to define tasks, adapt processes and implement changes without requiring expertise in manufacturer-specific programming languages. The solution combines generative artificial intelligence with compatibility across different robot brands, vision systems and industrial equipment, covering everything from design and simulation to operation and maintenance.

YK-Robotics is already applying its technology in industries including food processing, chemicals, furniture, wood processing and machinery manufacturing. According to results from its industrial projects, the platform has reduced robotic cell deployment times by up to 80% and increased production by approximately 20%. With this new investment, the company aims to further simplify industrial automation, making flexible and accessible robotic solutions easier to integrate into manufacturing processes.
