SIALI WINS EXEMPLARY INDUSTRIAL COMPANY 2024 AWARD

24 April, 2024
Last Saturday, March 16, the group of industrial engineers of Cantabria gathered at the Hotel Bahía de Santander to celebrate the feast of St. Joseph, an event that included the presentation of the Exemplary Industrial Company award. This year, the award was given to SIALI, a startup specialized in Artificial Intelligence (AI) consulting and solutions.

The recognition to SIALI, received by Pedro Casado Ruiz and Ismael Barakat Fernández on behalf of the company, reflects the commitment of the College and the Association of Industrial Engineers of Cantabria to the promotion and support of local industrial companies. The ceremony was attended by the Dean of Industrial Engineers, Fernando Rodríguez, and the Councilor for Development, Urban Planning, Sustainable Mobility and Housing of the Santander City Council, Agustín Navarro.
In addition to the awards ceremony, the celebration included a tribute to Martín Vega, former dean and president of the association for the last 12 years, in recognition of his outstanding work. Also in attendance were local authorities and representatives of the industrial sector, with the presence of the director of Sodercán, Ángel Pedraja, and the director of the Industry and Energy Area, Alfredo Diego Granado.

During the ceremony, other awards were also presented, such as the Francisco Mirapeix Award for the best master's degree project in Industrial Engineering and the XXI Jesús Ortiz Photography Contest, which recognizes the creativity and talent of the region's industrial engineers.
