26 November, 2024The Donostia-based company Akting proudly celebrates the success of Runloc, a cutting-edge tracking solution designed for the Fortuna Sports Club and deployed in the iconic Behobia-San Sebastián race.
This year marked the tenth edition in which Runloc has enhanced the experience for runners and supporters alike, enabling real-time tracking and showcasing local innovation at one of the most prominent sporting events in Spain’s popular race calendar.
The impact of Runloc on fan engagement this year was remarkable. By 6:00 a.m., 151 users were already active on the app, searching for their favorite runners. This figure rapidly climbed to 836 by 7:00 a.m., peaking at 17,933 users between 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m.
Among the most followed runners were Chakib Lachgar, the men’s category winner, and Sara Baceiredo, who triumphed in the women’s category.
The app registered a total of 26,349 connections from Spain, with notable international usage from France, the UK, Germany, and other countries. Domestically, Madrid led with 11,073 users, followed by Catalonia with 7,960, and the Basque Country with 7,823. Within the Basque Country, Donostia, Irun, and Bilbao recorded the highest activity.
