FOSSA SYSTEMS TO PROVIDE SATELLITE IOT TECHNOLOGY FOR THE SPANISH ATLANTIC CONSTELLATION

FOSSA Systems will supply satellite IoT technology to Open Cosmos as part of the Spanish Atlantic Constellation program, promoted by the Spanish Space Agency. The company will provide IoT payloads, antennas, software, and technical support for all satellites scheduled for launch in 2027, strengthening the development of a secure, sovereign low-Earth-orbit communications infrastructure.

The Atlantic Constellation will integrate four key instruments —GNSS-R, AIS, multispectral optical cameras, and FOSSA’s IoT payload— enabling the collection and transmission of critical data from anywhere on the planet. FOSSA’s solution will deliver sovereign, energy-efficient and resilient communications to support essential applications such as environmental monitoring, wildfire prevention, and secure field communications for emergency and institutional teams.

With this contract, FOSSA Systems reinforces its role as a strategic player in Europe’s secure satellite communications ecosystem. The company, which has already launched 21 satellites and is deploying its own 80-satellite constellation, continues to strengthen its position as a leader in industrial IoT connectivity and remote asset-management solutions.
