The company AOTECH, in collaboration with CODECONTRACT, is developing the BlockOptical project, focused on the implementation of Blockchain technology through smart contracts for IoT platforms that collect real-time data on production quality using AONIR sensors.
The first tests carried out in real environments have shown promising preliminary results. The goal of the project is to strengthen the reliability of data obtained in industrial production, ensuring in a secure and transparent way the information related to quality and regulatory compliance.
In the food sector, some application examples include:
Monitoring minimum fat content in products such as milk or mayonnaise.
Verifying maximum moisture percentages in butter.
Certifying virgin and refined olive oil percentages in olive oil.
Validating low-sugar or low-salt products.
This solution has also been applied to certify the composition of chemical baths in surface treatments, such as stainless steel pickling. It allows compliance with specific regulations to be demonstrated, such as those in the nuclear sector, which require a maximum iron concentration of 5% in the pickling bath.
Thanks to this integration, it will be possible to generate certified real-time traceability reports with legal validity, providing added value in sectors where safety and trust are critical.
The project is part of the Industria Digitala program of Grupo SPRI, aimed at promoting digital transformation and enhancing the competitiveness of companies in the Basque Country.
